Wanda Roth Amstutz – Pastor
Wanda has been serving in pastoral ministry for more than 30 years, in a variety of settings that have shaped her love for people and her understanding of faith in daily life. After completing her Master of Divinity at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Wanda and her husband, Doug, worked in shared and separate ministries including four years in Ethiopia, volunteering with Mennonite Central Committee. That time of service deepened her appreciation for the global church and for the ways community and mutual support are lived out across cultures.

At the heart of Wanda’s ministry is a passion for people. She values authentic conversations, welcomes questions, and delights in walking alongside others as they explore how life and faith come together. She believes strongly that faith grows best in the context of community, where belonging and care for one another are central.
Family is also an important part of Wanda’s life. She and Doug are grateful for their three adult daughters and their partners, who continue to bring joy, laughter, and connection into their lives.
Katria Ezekiel – Office Administrator
Katria (Kat) serves as the Office Administrator at Waterloo-Kitchener United Mennonite Church. In this role, she supports the day-to-day life of the congregation by coordinating communications, preparing weekly bulletins and emails, and keeping the office organized and welcoming. She also manages rentals, scheduling, and parking, and works closely with staff, volunteers, and community groups — including the Vision Team — to ensure the church’s facilities, planning, and programs run smoothly.

Beyond the administrative details, Kat enjoys creating spaces of connection — whether through a friendly phone call, a bulletin cover that helps tie scripture to daily life, or welcoming renters and guests who use the building throughout the week. She brings both professionalism and a caring spirit to her work, aiming to help the congregation stay rooted in its mission while remaining open and accessible to the wider community.
A fourth-generation member of W-K, Kat’s family has been part of the congregation since their arrival in Canada. Before joining the staff team, she worked with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), where she deepened her commitment to service, peace, and community care — values she continues to bring into her work at W-K. During her time on staff, she also participated in MCC’s Peace Camp in Texas, expanding her understanding of global peacebuilding and dialogue within the wider Mennonite community.
Tony Staller – Custodian
Tony has attended W-K United Mennonite Church his entire life, continuing a legacy that goes back to our beginnings—his mother’s grandfather, Bishop Jacob H. Janzen, was one of the founders of our congregation. For the past six years, Tony has faithfully served as our church custodian, caring for the building and grounds with dedication and pride. He takes great joy in keeping our church clean, welcoming, and well-maintained—a quiet ministry that helps create a peaceful space for worship, fellowship, and community life.
Karen Watson – Pastoral Care Support
Karen is part of our pastoral care team, offering support and compassion to members of the W-K community. She helps ensure that those in need of care, connection, or a listening ear are not forgotten, contributing to the warm and welcoming spirit of our congregation. Through her role, she embodies W-K’s Pastoral Care ministry—a ministry of encouragement and prayer rooted in presence, compassion, and community.
